On line collection has been started through Centralized WAN Connectivity from1-9-2005. Moreover In the month of February 2004, Corporation constructed a separate room for Computer Section at 4 Zonal offices with the cost of 6,30,000/-.
In the Month of February 2004 onwards, Touch Screen system has been introduced in all 4 zonal offices. Through this system each and every public can access computer directly to know their tax particulars, birth and death records.
Pay Module
All staff monthly salary particulars are computerized. Every month computerized pay slips are issued for all employees. It coveres earnings and deduction details. Differents kinds of reports are also generated for monitoring purpose.
Birth & Death Module
Birth Certificates & Death Certificates are also issued in pre printed forms through Computer.
Legal Module
E-legal Software is developed and it is going on under testing. We can generate reports based on cases, courts, etc.
Multi Department Service Centre
Multi Department Service Centre was opened at palayamkottai Corporation Ward Office. This center is first of its kind in the state. The three department i.e Corporation, TNEB and BSNL limited have come together under one roof. The taxes due to these three departments i.e property tax, Water tax, E.B. bills, telephone bills can be paid under one roof at various counters in the same building.
